BioFriends welcome. Please tell me how you found this LJ when you introduce yourself.

FYI: This is my journal for me to sing the praises of the good things around me, to vent emotions when i need to, to get on my occasional soap-box, and post whatever other whim strikes my fancy.
Do not assume anything when you read this journal, and remember I'm talking about me, my feelings, my stuff. I'll own my stuff; please don't own it for me. Also, don't expect me to own your stuff, because I won't.
If you don't like my opinions, perspectives, life-view and friends, then that's your choice. If, however, you still want to be on my flist, I'm cool with that. However, I will not tolerate rudeness, manipulation and dishonesty.
ABOUT ME:
Mom to 2 great sons.
I like power tools; I'm a DIY girl.
My favorite movies are Wizard of Oz, Mary Poppins, and What the Bleep.
My furbabies are Hobbes and Biscuit; expect kitty stories.
I'm a politically, moderate liberal, and open-minded spiritually.
I'm trying to discover my spiritual path and heal from childhood religious abuses.
Almost anything you say could cause me to break out in song (I know too many lyrics).
I'm addicted to iced mochas, which is better than the alcohol I used to drink.
I believe that pain is inevitable but suffering is optional.
I believe that Church and State must remain separate.
I'm a survivor and damn proud of it.
I use profanity; get over it.
Just for today I will live in an attitude of gratitude.
Just for today I will not worry.
Just for today I will not anger.
Just for today I shall do my work honestly.
Just for today I will show love and respect to all living beings.
